Testing the X47R on the dyno

Dyno testing is very important to us, and it should be for the customer too.

It's not always possible to fully use all the performance on the road for logging purposes, as the speed required exceeds well into 3 figures.

After a basic road test, every hybrid conversion will undergo testing on the Maha dyno with our friends at EAC Performance, located just next door.

Using 5th gear, we reach speeds of over 150mph for up to 30 seconds.

A real test, which enables us to see and test every component on the car and how it behaves under pressure.

We are very wary of sweep/low load dyno testing as this does not produce a significant enough load to generate boost and the temperatures you would experience on the road - Great for numbers of course, but we are after repeatability and showing the gain from stock, Stage 1 to Stage 3 in a realistic manner.

 

High numbers without a doubt sell, but our cars must perform to their very best in the real world and they will, thanks to our more in depth approach. It may feel fast, but its not proven until its tested.

We could give you high numbers - But it wouldn't be fair representation of the performance you expect after spending your hard earned cash on your pride and joy.
